Exclusive photos from the Top Rank Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada, as 17-year old talent Damien ‘Sugar’ Vasquez trains ahead of his Feb. 6 bout inside of the Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan.

Make no mistake about it, however, as Vasquez (6-0, 3 KO’s) is far from your normal teenager. In his last bout, Vasquez won the NABF flyweight title with an eight-round decision over seasoned veteran and former world title challenger Omar Soto.

For his first defense, Vasquez will be meeting up with Mexico’s Lorenzo Trejo, a veteran of 63 fights.

Under the watchful eye of his trainer Ismael Salas, Vasquez sparred six spirited rounds with local fighter Sergio Lopez, who always gives him quality work.
