It was about a year and a half ago when I first crossed paths with budding female talent Mikayla Nebel out here in Las Vegas.

Then training at the Mayweather Boxing Club, it was easy to spot talent in Nebel as well as passion, as we spoke in-depth about her early career learning lessons and how she fought on despite feeling robbed in several of her professional matches.

Since that time, Nebel has picked up her first official win to move to 1-6 and is as optimistic as ever about her future.

Nebel is now working with trainer and former fighter Armin Van Damme out of City Athletic Boxing and was in great spirits when we crossed paths on Tuesday afternoon.

Nebel put in some tough rounds with pro Thomas Hensley as Van Damme watched on during the work.
