On Saturday night, with the vacant WBA lightweight title on the line, former two-division champion Rances Barthelemy and former IBF lightweight champion Robert Easter Jr. fought to an uneventful split-draw verdict. The bout aired on SHOWTIME from the Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The fight was largely void of any real action, with scorecards reading 115-113 Barthelemy, 115-113 Easter, and 114-114.

Hustle Boss reported earlier this month that decorated trainer Ismael Salas has moved his stable of champions to a new facility, City Athletic Boxing out in West Las Vegas.

During a swing through the gym on Tuesday afternoon we caught up with Salas, as he was putting in some work with one of his star fighters, former IBF junior lightweight champion Rances Barthelemy.

Photos from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev. as “Premier Boxing Champions” on NBC showcased Cuba’s Rances Barthelemy’s domination of former lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco. by way of Sinaloa, Mexico on Sunday afternoon.

Barthelemy, who held the IBF belt briefly at 130 pounds, served notice to the junior welterweight class with this performance, as he is now compaigning at 140 pounds. In his new division, Barthelemy looks very strong and he was simply too quick and powerful for DeMarco.
