‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’s’ NeNe Leakes gets her own spinoff show

According to a report from US Weekly on Thursday, April 19, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes is getting her own spinoff show.

The series, which will feature Leake’s ex-husband Gregg Leakes, will focus on their upcoming wedding and is titled “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding”. The spinoff will air this coming fall and focus on Leakes’ second attempt to make her marriage work.

It was a crowded scene on Wednesday afternoon in Las Vegas, as Floyd Mayweather held his open media workout inside of his personal gym.

Mayweather (43-0, 26 KO’s) defends his WBC welterweight crown against interim champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero on May 4th inside of the MGM Grand in a Showtime pay per view attraction that figures to entertain.

A few hours before Mayweather’s arrival, another one of this generation’s greats made an appearance, as four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr. fielded questions from various members of the media.

Brittney Griner confirms to the world that she is gay: ‘I’ve always been open about who I am’

According to a report from Maggie Gray of Sport Illustrated on Wednesday, April 17, former College basketball standout Brittney Griner has come out with her sexuality as a young gay woman.

Griner spoke on why it is more acceptable for women to come out as a gay athlete as opposed to men in today’s society.

“I really couldn’t give an answer on why that’s so different,” said Griner. “Being one that’s out, it’s just being who you are. Don’t worry about what other people say, because they’re always going to say something, but if you’re just true to yourself, let that shine through. Don’t hide who you really are.”

Seventh-seeded Los Angeles Lakers have a date with the Spurs in the first round of the playoffs

Los Angeles Lakers’ star forward Kobe Bryant made a promise months ago that his team would make the playoffs.

On Wednesday night, April 17, the Lakers defeated the Houston Rockets 99-95 to clinch the seventh playoff spot in the Western conference.

Kobe Bryant later took to his twitter account to announce “Playoff promise fulfilled #ontothenext.”

Of course, Bryant is recovering from surgery following a torn Achilles and will not actively be playing when the Lakers meet the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the playoffs.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries reportedly planning to reach a settlement in divorce case

The lengthy legal battle between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries has lasted longer than their 72-day marriage. According to TMZ.com on a report date Thursday, April 18, however, it appears that the battle is coming to an end, as the two may agree upon a divorce settlement as soon as tomorrow but there is no guarantee.

Kim Kardashian had an iron-clad prenup before the two married but it hasn’t stopped Humphries from suing Kardashian for fraud, claiming she married him in order to seek higher ratings on her reality television show while benefiting financially from their wedding.
