The odds have been against the Los Angeles Lakers all season and now that they have made the playoffs, doubters remain.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Times on Friday, April 19, Las Vegas odds makers are giving the team a very slim chance of winning the 2013 NBA Playoffs.

It appears that the Lakers only have a 12% chance of even making it out of the first round against the San Antonio Spurs, who they meet this Sunday.

On Wednesday night, the Phoenix Suns snapped the Los Angeles Lakers three game wining streak.

The Suns were led by Michael Beasley’s season high 27 points, while the Lakers have now lost eight straight on the road.

In a rather slow-paced first half, the Lakers suffered 12 turnovers as the game was tied 41-41. The Lakers seized the lead in the 3rd quarter and appeared to be on their way towards a 4th straight victory. However, a 29-13 run by the Suns in the 4th quarter would snatch away the victory.
