More First Friday Exhibition Sparring with #1 ranked amateur Devaughn Lucas, as he was visiting from Texas and came to put in some work. In this video, Lucas, still just 14 years old, works with two prospects, including upcoming Jacob Cuevas. Lucas has an aggressive style and is definitely one to keep an eye out for.

Images from Johnny Tocco’s Ringside Gym in Las Vegas, Nev. as another entertaining round of First Friday Exhibition Sparring took place.
The sparring has been taking place since 2014 and there has been some excellent work that has went down. This past Friday, more quality action took place, including seeing super middleweight contender Denis Douglin (20-6, 13 KO’s) in action, as he worked with rising amateur Karam Al Mahseri. National champion Alex “ATG” Thiel was also back in the mix, as well as several other amateurs going at it.

Earlier this month, inside of Johnny Tocco’s Ringside Gym in Las Vegas, Nev., undefeated super middleweight prospect Caleb “Sweet Hands” Plant (14-0, 10 KO’s) and once-beaten super middleweight Sena Agbeko (15-1, 15 KO’s) visited the gym to get in some sparring ahead of their respective bouts.
Plant fights on Feb. 25 inside of the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Al., against Ghana’s Thomas Awimbono (25-6-1, 21 KO’s) on the same card that WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder faces off with contender Gerald Washington. The following month, on March 17, Agbeko returns against journeyman Rashad Jones in Nashville, Tennessee.

I made sure to stop by Johnny Tocco’s Ringside Gym this past Friday night, Jan. 6, to check out some of the action taking place between some of the area’s top amateur and professional prospects and I wasn’t disappointed.
The exhibition sparring series has been taking place on the first Friday of every month inside of Tocco’s in Las Vegas, and it has given both the fighters a chance to shine as well as the spectators a glimpse of some key pieces to boxing’s future.

When Luis Monda told me in November 2014 that the famed Johnny Tocco’s Boxing Gym was set to embark on a new ritual with their First Friday Exhibition Sparring series, I knew instantly what he had in mind.
I also knew that his idea had a great chance to shine, as Monda, a trainer and manager at Tocco’s, is looking to introduce the talent from his gym by showcasing their sparring against other up-and-comers in the Vegas area.

When it comes to custom mouthpieces in the boxing game, nobody quite seems to have a handle on things like the ‘Mouthpiece Guy’ Jeff D.
At Hustle Boss we caught up with MPG inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club in February, where he was seen helping out prizefighters Ishe Smith and Badou Jack with their first custom piece. The two have since gone on to be repeat customers.

As Hustle Boss previously reported, Rashad Ganaway recently got his career back on track by winning the WBC USNBC lightweight title with an eight-round unanimous decision over Leon Spinks III in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Ganaway now calls Las Vegas his home and could recently be spotted putting in some rounds inside of Johnny Tocco’s during the famed gym’s First Friday Exhibition Sparring earlier this month.

As I walked inside of Johnny Tocco’s Boxing Gym this past Friday, I knew something good was in store.
