It’s always a scene during any Floyd Mayweather training camp and as we look forward to what may be the last match of his illustrious career, the mood inside of the gym of the game’s best fighter is pretty laid back these days.

Mayweather is rumored to be facing off with former welterweight titlist Andre Berto on Sep. 12 in Las Vegas and there are several familair faces in his gym these days.

As we noted, upcoming amateur prospect Daquan Mays is back in town and he is eyeing a pro debut in the coming months, most likely in the lightweight division.

Hustle Boss was on hand inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas recently as super middleweight contender J’Leon Love (20-1, 11 KO’s) put in some spirited rounds with tough middleweight Quilistro ‘Kilo The Kid’ Modera (1-0).

Love is coming off of a scintilating 7th round TKO victory over Jason Escalera on June 21 at the MGM Grand while Modera is still new to the pro game. What “Kilo The Kid” does have is great experience with him in former world champion Fernando “El Feroz” Vargas, who was on hand while the action went down.

If there was ever a duo that was sure to get me some positive reaction to the June 20 Adrien Broner vs. Shawn Porter matchup and aftermath, upcoming talents Zach Cooper and J’Leon Love fit the bill.

Porter pulled off perhaps the biggest victory over his career thus far when he handled Broner over the course of 12 rounds. Porter was aggressive and calculated throughout the match and outside of a big knockdown he suffered in the 12th and final round, the Akron native was in control.

When I first spotted 7-year old Miah Davis inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, I instantly spotted her desire and talent.

Despite being completely new to the game at the time, you could tell instantly by Davis’ mitt work with Roger Mayweather that she was a naturally gifted fighter.

This past weekend, inside of the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., two-division world champion Timothy Bradley defeated previously undefeated junior welterweight titlist Jessie Vargas over the course of 12 rounds.

A lot of Bradley’s best traits were on display during the HBO-televised attraction, including his sheer grit, volume-punching, and ability to fight in closed quarters. The Palm Springs native overcame a spirited effort from Vargas before pulling away for the decision.

The Adrien Broner vs. Shawn Porter bout took place on Saturday, June 20 and the next day Rances Barthelemy defeated Antonio DeMarco in the main event of a Sunday afternoon card. Both shows took place from the MGM Grand.

The facility typically fills up during most media days and with Floyd Mayweather making an appearance to help drum up what is already a big fight with this weekend’s Adrien Broner (30-1, 22 KO’s) vs. Shawn Porter (25-1-1, 16 KO’s) melee, there was quite a lot to take in.

Hustle Boss was on hand inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, Nevada on Wednesday afternoon, June 17,as undefeated Floyd Mayweather and his friend, three-division world champion Adrien Broner, caused a scene with Errol Spence Jr., Shawn Porter, and others ahead of the Broner vs. Porter fight this weekend.

Broner will face off with Porter, the former IBF welterweight world champion, in a high stakes showdown at the MGM Grand on Saturday night. PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) on NBC will host the card, which also features Spence in a big step up vs. tough contender Roberto Garcia.

A quick stop by the Mayweather Boxing Club this past week saw junior middleweight prospect Thomas Hill and welterweight upstart Charvis Holifield putting in some work ahead of their scheduled matches next month.

Holifield (1-1) is coming off of a 4th round disqualification loss to David Thomas this past November. In a fight he looked to be winning. Holifield’s mouthpiece came out one too many times shortly after he dropped Thomas in the 4th.
